Glasgow will be hosting the Dance International Glasgow which will run until 21s May (Sunday). The Tramway will be a hub for a series of performances and many other events, being held across Glasgow city. Some of the world’s leading directors, choreographers and companies will be taking part in a world of ‘film and animation’. The festival aims to be accessible, introduce dance to a new audience and to bring performers of the city into direct contact with teh world-class artists.
Siobhan Davies Dance will lead a series of performers live on 30th April (Sunday), from 12noon to 1pm. ‘The Happiness Project’ by Didy Veldman, former Rambert dancer and renown choreographer, is among the highlights, along with the UK premier of Velvet Petal, presented by the Scottish Dance Theatre.
‘Out of This World’ by V-Tol dance company of Mark Murphy, writer and director, will be presented here. The Tramway will host on 14th May, a special Family Day, with free activities tailor-made for toddlers, babies and kids up to 12 years and their families, from 12 Noon to 4:30pm.
