The BBC Arts Get Creative is being celebrated in a weekend, from 7th April to 9th April, that’s from Friday to Sunday. It is being hosted at the Lighthouse, Centre for Arts, in Poole (Dorset), with a number of free events. Sing Your Lungs Out is a workshop for all in the family on Saturday (8th April) from 2pm to 4pm. Whatever your age or ability, or experienced or not, you are invited to first warm-up and then sing along Somebody to Love (by Queen) and A Little Respect (by Erasure) Local musicians and choirs also can join. Song-sheets will be provided to them.
From 25th March to 29th April, an exhibition of paintings by Lisa Lewis will be open to the public at the Lighthouse. On 7th and 8th April, to engage with the exhibition, there will be family-friendly art activities, from 11am to 2pm, which includes Solve the Giant Floor Puzzle, Help the Art Critics, Spot the Detail and others. Children aged 7 to 16 years get a chance during the month’s last 2 weeks of free events, to display their art at the Lighthouse.
