Old Town Festival at Bridlington – June 10
The Bridlington Old Town 1940’s Summer Festival has been planned on June 10 from 10 am onwards at Yorkshire Coast area. Begins with a opening parade solo performances by the Yorkshire Corps and Drums, performances of music in the era by Singer Maddi Brown and the Coastal Voices Choir and go on with many events on the day. You can find the wedding costumes used in the period in the Priory Church and taste a food of your choice in the food stalls there. Ferens Exhibition Programme 2018 – Until July 29
Visit the Ferens Arts Gallery and meet the Bagpuss, the Soup Dragon and Noggin the Nog – the famous characters featured in the 70 & 80’s children’s TV shows at the Ferens Exhibition 2018. Kids can also get a chance to see Original sets, puppets and film making equipments brought from the V&A Museum of Childwood and Toys, puppets from Hull Museum. Free Skateboarding – June 11, 13 & 16
As a part of Skateboarding Festival 2018 & to make Hull city as the leading skateboarding city, there are series of free sessions at different skate parks happening in the area. This month coaching classes are being held at Oak Road Playing Fields, off Beresford Avenue from June 4 to 30 at different dates. Interested can come to the skate park on June 11 & 13 in the evening between 5.30 to 6.30 pm and June 16 between 10 am to 12 noon in the upcoming week, to join free lessons from the professionals of Active Sports. Lord Mayor’s Celebration Day – June 16
Free entry to Trinity Square at Hull on the occassion of Lord Mayor’s Celebration Day. You can find 80+ Vintage Cars as a part of Hull Minster Car Show, landing in the city centre across Trinity Square and Rose Bowl areas. There will also be live music which begins from 10 am in Trinity Square along with Poetry and other workshops, dance and parade which will take place at noon and 2 pm.
Free Craft sessions – June 16, July 21 & Aug 18
There will be a free Craft sessions for Kids at the Anlaby Park Community Library located at The Greenway, Anlaby High Road, Hull. Windsurfing Championship Event – June 16 & 17
UK Windsurfing Association has organised for National Cup Windsurfing Championship and round 3 of this competition is scheduled on June 16 & 17 at North Bay of Bridlington. This is a free to watch event for the visitors. For more details about this event, please visit ukwindsurfing.com.
