A free event will be taking place on 28th February, at Worcester Woods Country Park in Nunnery Wood, called the Woodlands Alive, to be held from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The venue will provide an opportunity for visitors to see a working woodland. The free event features activities like willow weaving, hurdle making, wood turning, children’s activities, craft stalls, heavy horses, plus other activities. Tannys Feasey comes from the Worcestershire Countryside Service. She said that this is a fun and free event for the whole family to learn about the traditional woodland crafts and also to see huge logs being dragged by heavy horses through the woods. No tickets are needed for the free event and anyone can turn up on the day. For more information phone to 01905 766155, to contact Tanya Feasey or Rob Stevenson.
