As a part of Naturally Health Month being celebrated, people are motivated to get to outdoors to stay relaxed with nature for better health and wellbeing. Picnic in the Park has been organized in the parks at Dorset. The events have already been conducted in Radipole Gardens, Weymouth and Durlston Country Park, Swanage on May 4.
There will be a free event of Picnic in the Park held on Saturday – May 18, 2019 at The Borough Gardens, Cornwall Rd, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1RG. The activities are free and run from 11 am to 3 pm on the day. This free event is being hosted by Stepping into Nature, Dorchester Town Council, Natural Choices, Clinical Commissioning Group, LiveWell and Active Dorset.
All are encouraged to bring a picnic, stay relaxed, have fun and try out new activity. At the park, you can enjoy music, go around the stalls and try out free taster sessions of various activities such as yoga, zumba, orienteering, woodwork etc. The event is a demential friendly one.
Public Health Dorset is motivating people to get out of home, as spending time outside will give great health benefits.
Assistant Director, Public Health Dorset – Rachel Partridge said that they are pleased for supporting Naturally Healthy Month. Across Dorset, there will be various activities and events organized to enjoy a day at parks and open spaces. It is not just for a getting out but improves mental and physical health and fitness. He is encouraging people to get out and take part in various events.
