Free event on support available for cancer at Ellesmere Port

There has been a free event organized on Thursday – May 9, 2019 at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port CH65 0AZ between 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The event aims at bringing awareness on the support available for cancer affected people.

The free event has been organized by the Macmillan Information and Support services of Wirral University Teaching Hospital and Countess of Chester Hospital. There will be various stalls of organizations providing services and support on cancer to people on psychological support, fitness, support for carers, welfare guidance etc and short talks by health care professionals running from 2.30 pm.

Anne Torkington from the Macmillan Information Centre at Arrowe Park Hospital, a Joint Organiser said that people those affected by cancer or their carers do not aware of the help and support available locally and this is a great chance to highlight the support in the area and how to get access to them. The event combining information sessions along with informal market stalls that where people can search for what they require and it helps them easier and more comfortable. The event will have all useful information and can get expert advice from Macmillan professionals and special nurses, dieticians and various organizations.
