There has been a free event on advice to the landlords and agents organized on Thursday – March 7, 2019. Corby Borough Council, Borough Council of Wellingborough, East Northamptonshire Council and Kettering Borough Council which belongs to Northamptonshire council and have organized for a free forum and exhibition in association with landlord advice service and accountants.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn, Geddington Rd, Corby NN18 8ET between 4 pm to 8 pm. The event will be held to offer support and advice to the landlords and letting agents on the private rent sector.
The participants can meet and interact with the representatives of the four borough councils, Shapcotts Chartered Accountants and the members of East Midlands Property Owners on the day and they will speak about recent and upcoming changes in housing legislation, landlord tax and updates on local authority private renting rules.
Cllr Steven North – the leader of East Northamptonshire Council said that the free event will offer the local renting agents and landlords a chance to interact with others like them and experts in the private rent sector. Their team will be available on the day to provide support and advice to the residents and motivating all the landlords to make use of such wonderful opportunity.
Cllr Martin Griffiths – the leader of Borough Council of Wellingborough said that this is an excellent event which will provide the landlords in the county on information about the changes impacting them and how to manage quality at affordable private rental accommodation for residents. He would encourage all the landlords to take part and speak to their representatives for clarifying queries or for any assistance.
Mark Rowley, Portfolio Holder for Housing of Kettering Borough Council said that the changes in the legislation will be difficult to understand sometimes and they want to help the landlords in explaining about the changes and provide support required on the subject. This is a wonderful event to get advice and share their experiences.
Business Development Manager at EMPO – Giles Inman said that they want to ensure all the landlords the councils in Northamptonshire to well understand on the legal matters and responsibilities on private renting of accommodation safely.
Director at Shapcotts Accountants and Property Investor – Kimberley Shapcott stated that providing knowledge on the changes in the taxation in the recent years to the landlords is very important to know upto date to play safe in getting renting returns at the maximum as per law and reducing their tax liabilities. They will be explaining the updates on recent changes and tips for the participants.
