Free event on employment and career at Gainsborough

A free event named “Step up to your future” is coming to Gainsborough. The event is scheduled on June 12, 2018 – Tuesday between 1 pm to 4pm and it will take place at The Blues Club, North Street, Gainsborough DN21 2HU, United Kingdom.

The free event will be hosted by the West Lindsey Employment & Skills Partnership and the partnership consists of West Lindsey District Council, Lincoln & Gainsborough College, LAGAT (Lincoln & Gainsborough Adult Training), ACIS Housing, Riverside Training, CLIP (Community Learning In Partnership), Princes, Bishop Burton College – Showground Campus, Trust Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) and Education Business Partnership, Bishop Grosseteste University and Voluntary Centre Services. They aims to develop various activities on employment and skills to give support to local employers and residents in West Lindsey.

The event is open to public in the locality and they can get information and guidance on job vacancies, skills required etc from employers and organisations, training opportunities from training service providers and career advice & guidance from various advice agencies. Hence the free event will be really useful to those whoever is looking for Job vacancies, Higher level qualifications, Work placements, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Career opportunities, Current training information & Information on volunteering.

Mike Johnson – LAGAT Training & Recruitment said that the fair is a great chance for job seekers, persons who think of change of job, who want to undergo apprenticeship and who seek for self employment. Last year more than 200 participants attended to find job opportunities and apprenticeships available from 35 exhibitors in the event and there were representatives from Gelder Group, British Steel, the RAF and more. The organisers would like to welcome many representatives of Made in Gainsborough – Engineering apprenticeship programme from A.M.P Rose, Regal Manufacturing Ltd, Eminox, Wefco, Hooton Engineering Ltd, Trepko (UK) Ltd & Clean Tech.

Member Champion for Employment and Skills from West Lindsey District Council – Cllr Reg Shore said that this skills fair is a good chance to meet the employers directly and can know about their requirements and vacancies available. He also added that the participants will be given advice and support by their skills advisors.

Volunteer Centre Services – Heather Arnatt said that upon success of last year’s event, they are happy to conduct this year’s event. The service provider also help for those who wish to be a volunteer, experienced volunteers and who require volunteers to help the organisation.
