A Shropshire recruitment fair is being organised as a free-to-attend event that will benefit thousands of job-seekers and also help many local employers and businesses. A similar event last year, the Partnership for Jobs, attracted more than 100 employers and about 4,000 job-seekers. This year this event has seen more than 50 businesses of Shropshire sign-up, including BAE Systems of Telford.it will be returning on 18th March, to the Telford’s International Centre, being organised by Telford and Wrekin Council.
The free event is being held in a bid to help firms that are planning growth or expanding and so require to fill up their rolls. Bob George, site director, says they support it as it is essential to the area. Telford and Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for finance & enterprise, Cllr. Bill McClements, remarked that this popular event caters to needs of both job-seekers and local businesses.
