Based on the success of last year’s Made in Lisburn Castlereagh event, this year the free event has been organised by the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council even bigger & better one. The showcase will be held on Wednesday – October 24, 2018 at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex, Lisburn. The event will run from 10 am to 3 pm.
The event is a great opportunity for all including residents, students, schools, local businesses and budding entrepreneurs to see a big gathering under one roof and they can see talents and innovative products available in the Council area. The council has fantastic business base with complete facilities for manufacturing items. The organiser enables the students in the area to get knowledge on the job opportunities available and helps the local businesses to showcase their products and services.
The local businesses can get a dedicated graphical display stand, take part in extensive PR/ Media campaign and fantastic chance of showcasing their identity to other businesses and around 1200 school pupils/ higher education students expected to be take part in Made in Lisburn Castlereagh.
The businesses can explain about story of their success to the visitors and to better promote their career opportunities and skills required by the companies. There is a nominal contribution charged to the businesses of £300 + VAT who will be given with 1m x 3m space with personalised graphical stand. Here you can see exhibits of around 37 businesses and what is manufactured in the area. You can also come to know about the job/ apprenticeship opportunities provided by the training providers in the area.
Chairman of the Council’s Development Committee – Alderman William Leathem said that this is a great opportunity for all to know more about the business base in the area and the innovative products. The top businesses here have their growth plans and they will be available on the day to showcase about the career opportunities in their businesses. Hence those looking for a new job or having an idea of career change make use of this event. There will be various workshops running on the day the event to help the job seekers which also includes presentation skills and social media etiquette.
The Made in Lisburn Castlereagh is a free event and open to the general public. There is no need to book.
