There will be a free event “Family Think Safe” has been organized on Wednesday – March 6, 2019 at Basingstoke Aldworth School, Western Way, Basingstoke RG22 6HA. The session will be held between 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
The event has been organized by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and aimed at providing people to know about basic knowledge on first aid, road safety, fire safety, online safety and personal safety. This is to help every person and families to aware on how to be safe and emergency services.
Hampshire Contabulary, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Council’s Community Safety Officers, Relax Kids, Network Rail, RCS and Champs Academy will be available on the day at their stalls and explaining the visitors about their work and various safety tips. Beyond this, there will also be various craft activities for younger ones.
The participants will get a chance to participate in 6 different scenarios which are being run by the organisations and they can learn how they need to react in a real-life emergency situations and how to respond on such emergencies.
Councillor Simon Bound – Cabinet Member for Communities & Community Safety said that he feels everyone can learn some important things at this Think Safe event and also have fun at the same time. Learning how to be safe on the roads, in the community, at home or when you are online is very important to explain to the residents.
This is a free event with free parking and also free food will be served until 6.15 pm. As there are limited places, please book your place in advance.
