The Rose event at Wellingborough is an opportunity for people to meet local employers and find vacancies. It is a regular free event and will be held on 4th November, Tuesday, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM, at the Wellingborough Library on Pebble Lane. Visitors can lookout for real options for skills and employment and for help with CV writing, interview skills, techniques of job search and careers advice.
Chairman of the Wellingborough council’s services committee, Peter Morall, said the free event will help anyone thinking of career change, setting up their own business or looking for work. He pointed out that skilled people made redundant, are those who haven’t had to apply for a job for years. They can be helped here, by matching potential employers and to help them through the recruitment process, he added.
Alison Kelly is from the business consultancy, The Mallows Company, which organises the free event for the council and the National Careers Service. Alison Kelly said employers use the Rose event to pick out skilled people, without costly job ads. So, it’s worthwhile for somebody looking for work. They also get free advice, build on confidence, improve skills and also find genuine job vacancies that aren’t anywhere else.
