Free event to experience Red Deer Rut with rangers

Here is a chance to experience in nature the red deer rut when the stags get to challenge each other for their hinds. To experience the stunning scenery with the sights, sounds and smells here with the rangers, come on 10th October (Friday) from 4.30pm to 7.00pm to Royal Deeside. The free event is being organised partnering with Invercauld Estate, which is located in the heart of Cairngorms National Park (also called Royal Deeside), near to the Braemar village.

To come to the free event you should meet at the public car-park on Balnellan Road in village Braemar. Be prepared to share car if needed, as parking space is limited at the venue. The walk venue is a few miles away to travel and involves there around 2 miles/3 km of walk on Landrover track. Children below 16 years must be accompanied. Dogs are not allowed. You should have waterproof and warm clothing, tough footwear, with torch and binoculars if you have any. Booking must be done by calling 013398 80868, or by email to marr.ranger@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.
