Free event at Lincolnshire, Falklands veteran Simon Weston to speak

May 27th, 2014 by Sandy

The Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will be organising an event for mental health and social care at the Lincolnshire Showground, on 4th September, Thursday. The keynote speaker at the annual public meeting will be Simon Weston OBE, a Falklands conflict veteran. He will be telling his story and pass his message about determination and having a positive mental attitude. During the conflict, Sir Galahad, the ship he was aboard as a Welsh Guardsman, was attacked. Simon Weston sustained severe burn injuries. His single minded determination and positive mental attitude could help him accept reality and helped him achieve great goals.

Eileen Ziemer Cottingham, the chairman of the trust, felt it was a privilege to have Simon Weston as speaker at this free event and to learn of his physical and mental recovery to make great business and charitable achievements.
