Free entry to Bonfire Night for fireworks display at Cambridge

One of the popular events in the Cambridge city – Cambridge’s Bonfire Night has been organised on Monday – November 5, 2018 at Midsummer Common, Cambridge CB5 8DJ. The popular event has been provided for free for more than 20 years by the Cambridge City Council & organised by Cambridge Live, attracting more than 25000 visitors to find a safe and enjoyable display of fireworks. Every year the event costs around £70000 and supported with the help of all local businesses and donations from public.

This year’s firework display will start at 7 pm. But various events of Bonfire, food stalls and fairground will be available from 6 pm to 10 pm which are free and open to public. The bonfire will be lighted on the evening and followed by which the first rocket will be launched. The evening programmes will be compered by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire’s Jeremy Sallis.

Heather Sonnet – Head of the Cambridge Office at Brewin Dolphin, which is championing the event to call for businesses to support to make it as free, said that for organising free event of Bonfire Night at Cambridge costing around £70000 and they want it to be a stunning and memorable event as never before. They proud to sponsor such event and inviting businesses to join them for support.

Lily Bacon from RealVNC – Former Business Champion said that the event is a tradition of Cambridge running for more than 20 years and RealVNC has been taking part proudly for the past three years. They were excited to hand over the baton to Brewin Dolphin to make the event as a grand success and ensure to get the support of local businesses in the city to make it as a free event for the whole community. They encourage and invite local businesses to provide their support by joining the campaign.
