Free entry to Battersea Park Dog Show

June 11th, 2016 by Sandy

In support of the Armed Forces Day and as part of the celebrations, the Battersea Dog Show will be hosted on 19th June (Sunday). Battersea Park is in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The national event of the Armed Forces Day begins on 20th June (Monday). People are invited to come down to the annual event to show support and to give a morale boost for the troops and their families. A whole family including dogs, can join in a day filled with fun and in competing canine classes and activities.

The Dog Show is being organised by Wandsworth Parks and Events Police Service, who also patrol the parks and open areas of Wandswoth, enforce the bye-laws and park regulations and the Dog Control Orders, besides policing events. Dogs can be entered into a variety of pedigree and novelty classes at the show supported by the Special Armed Forces and Friends of Battersea Park. They can join the fun, see dog trade stands, a family funfair and find plenty of refreshments. The Dog Show has free entry to the public. Dogs will be entered for the show on the day, from 10.30am. At 12.3pm the judging will start. Winners and runners up in each class will be awarded rosettes.
