Armed Forces Day is an annual event celebrated in the United Kingdom on the last saturday of June month to recognise the services of armed forces personnel in the British Armed Forces. This year it is being celebrated on Saturday – June 30.
To recognise the services of armed forces personnel, Twycross Zoo is offering free entry to all the armed forces personnel on June 30. There is no need to book. They can just visit the zoo and show their ID proofs with photo such as MOD Card, Veterans Card, Blue Light Card or Defence Discount Card at the gate of the zoo to get free entry.
Twycross Zoo is a conservation charity for animals and formed over 80+ acres of area. The zoo is taking care of 125 species of more than 500 animals with endangered and native breeds. You can find the zoo in the main location of England at Leicestershire / Warwickshire border and the attraction is having Wet ‘n’ Wild Play Park, restaurants, shops, cafes, play areas and more to enjoy the total day with their family.
For other family members, tickets need to be purchased online or at the zoo. The ticket prices are: Armed Forces Personnel – Free (redeemed at the gate), Adults – £19.95 (online: £18.95), Children (2-16 years) – £14.95 (online: £14.20), Infants (Under 2s) – Free and Concession ticket – £17.50 (online: £16.62).
