Datacenta Hosting, Westbourne based small company has organised for a free event on cyber security along with Bournemouth University on Wednesday – October 31, 2018. The session will run between 6 pm to 7.30 pm at the Inspire Lecture Theatre, the Fusion building, Bournemouth University, Talbot Campus, Fern Barrow, Poole BH12 5BB.
Gordon Fong of Datacenta Hosting who’s running the business, heard recently about the loss suffered from online scam from his friend. So he planned to organise such a beneficial free event.
Mr. Fong said that the event is open to all whether you are a freelancer, parent, student, worker, manager, any individual or businesses, as the cyber crime affects everyone whoever is using online services. The event will not be more of technical, but it will be entertaining, fun and educating event.
He added that the event got a support from Police & Crime Commissioner Martin Underhill, Bournemouth MPs Conor Burns & Tobias Ellwood. Along with the organiser, Anytech Solutions & C3IA will be joining with them on the day and also the IT Department and Cyber Security Society from Bournemouth University will be present.
He also explained that asking everyone what is the important account which needs to be protected? Yes it is your email account as it is used for most of the online based services to get your security details. So, for the criminals, they can simply get your email account to make everything they want. Hence this event will for sure be an useful awareness event to show Dorset’s thriving digital community. Digital Dorset is not about innovation or creative, but to provide a safe place to do everything online.
