A free course to improve motorway safety will be held on 10th March, in The Prince of Orange pub, which is on High Street in Yatton, Bristol. The free course has been organised by the Weston and Mendip Advanced Motorist group. The motorway course is designed by the group and for people with a full driving licence. The sessions will deal with breakdown procedures and roadworks and also road signs.
Participants will get a practical driving session under a qualified trainer from the Institute of Advanced Motorists. The three-part course will also help people to learn about checking for faults in their vehicles. Formed in 1983, the group is offering advice, running courses and demonstrations, to improve the standard of driving in North Somerset. Those interested in joining the course and free sessions in winter driving, night driving, parking and dealing with distractions, can contact Ken.
