Free coaching sessions in Tennis starts this weekend at Merton

July 19th, 2014 by Sandy

The Wimbledon season may be over, but the tennis season is not! Merton area families now have the opportunity to learn and play tennis, thanks to the free sessions organized by the DRTC (Dundonald Recreation Tennis Club) and LTA (Lawn Tennis Association). The first of the hour long sessions begins on Sunday, the 20th of July, 2014, at 11:00 am, the venue being the Dundonald Recreation Ground, which will be hosting the sessions.

DRTC chair, Dr Ernest Pinto, has said that their club is thrilled to deliver free tennis coaching sessions with the dream of producing a future Wimbledon champion from the Merton locality. The sessions will also make families get together for some really good weekend tennis activities, while making all family members learn a new skill as well. All tennis equipment such as balls, mini-nets and rackets will be given to all participants totally free of charge, while a professional tennis coach will handle the coaching sessions.
