Free meal will be arranged for couples who are likely to celebrate Christmas alone on the Christmas day. Couples aged over 60 will be provided with free lunch at the Masonic Hall, John Street, Consett from 1pm.
According to Keith Walker, organiser of Rowley, if you or you along with your partner are to celebrate Christmas alone then this a great chance to reach the spot at the Masonic Hall. Drinks reception will be held at 12pm followed by a four course lunch comprising of pork and turkey. And then, few games will be arranged towards evening.
