In Belford
Erskine United Reformed Church (URC) will conduct a series of events in Belford this year too. A candle festival will be held on 7 December (Saturday) from 4pm. The church will be candle lit and special carol will be sung by Candlelight Service at 6pm on 8 December (Sunday).
One section of the carol service is linked to URC’s history. Apart from all these, Belford Young Players of The Ice Queen Cometh will perform in the Ferguson Hall at 5.30 pm on December 6 (Friday) and December 7 (Saturday).
At Billy Row
A free Christmas fair will be held on 7 December (Saturday) from 2pm near Crook at Billy Row which will be conducted by WEST Lodge nursing home. The fair will also include tombola, treasure hunt, raffle, stalls and more.
Likewise another Christmas fair will be held on 7 December (Saturday) from 2pm on Byerley Road (Shildon). Father Christmas will appear during the fair which will include tombola, refreshments, raffle, bric-a-brac and stalls selling cakes.
In Villa Real School (Consett)
A free Christmas fair will be arranged in Villa Real School (Consett) from 10am to 12.30pm on 7 December (Saturday). The event will also include a raffle, stalls, tombola and a visit from Santa Claus.
