Free bus travel for passengers between North Somerset and north Bristol

Crossville Motor Service is offering free travel for passengers travelling between North Somerset and north Bristol, on their new commuter bus service. The company recently took over from North Bristol Commuter Coach Service the bus service operation. The service was launched in 2013, by The Kings Ferry previously, but passengers had fallen to an uneconomical level. The service has been revived and and the new Crossville Flyer Service launched. Passengers will be taken from Weston-super-Mare, Portishead and Clevedon, to the north fringe to key employment sites that include the Ministry of Defence, Airbus, Rolls Royce and Aztec West.

Crosville, based in Weston-super-Mare, already operates numerous local bus services and coach hire. The revised route and timetable is aimed to improve demand and fit for purpose. The Crosville Flyer Service will cover the Weston-super-Mare and Portishead journey on service C1 and C2 service will cover Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon. The service will continue to serve the key employment sites again. The coaches will be fitted with USB charging points, and free Wi-Fi, for each seat. The service will permit return trips from Bristol in morning peak hours. It will improve links, at commuter times, from Clevedon to Weston-super-Mare. Outward journeys will be offered in evening peak from Weston-super-Mare, Portishead and Clevedon. Crosville will offer current passengers as a goodwill gesture and to encourage new customers, free tickets to travel on the commuter service, until 16th May.
