Free bike ride for children and families to have fun in this May half term

May 23rd, 2018 by Sandy

A free family bike/ cycle ride has been arranged by the Access Lincoln in association with St Mark’s Shopping Centre on May 31, 2018. Those kids who would think of how to spend time out in in spring break, this ride is one of the best choices to get out of home to enjoy more with family.

Access Lincoln is an initiative by Lincolnshire County Council and funded by the Department of Transport. The Access Lincoln programme is brought to give the residents and commuters varied travel choices which aims to save time and money, stay healthy and to have our environment protected.

The participants need to bring their own vehicle with lock and wear a helmet. They should make sure to assemble at the garden area of St Mark’s Shopping Centre located at St Mark’s Square, Lincoln LN5 7EX at 10am to have a safe and wonderful ride along the traffic free routes. The participants are taken to the Boultham Park at 55 Hall Dr, Lincoln LN6 7SW where all can enjoy a 50 acre scenic park and children will be given time to play in the park. Also all the participants will be served a free drink and a cake slice in the new cafe. After having fun in the park, again they will be heading back to St Mark’s to reach around 12.30 pm.

Access Lincoln Project Co ordinator – Alison Mackfall said that this is the right opportunity for families and kids to get engage in this half term without spending much. Those whoever wants to hire bike, they can get bikes near St Mark’s station (visit www.hirebikelincoln.co.uk for more details). An adult should accompany the kids.
