The much loved annual event, the Pudsey Carnival, will be held on 17th May, Saturday, at the Queen’s Park, and this year is expected to be on a bigger scale and also better than before. The free event, running all day, will have the carnival parade, which will be led by Leeds Pipe Band and the Carnival Queen of Pudsey, along with gymnastics, floats, climbing wall, a football tournament, stalls and much more. The free event is a great draw every year.
The carnival parade will start at 12:00PM from Victoria Road, tour Uppermoor, proceed to Chapeltown, then to Church Lane, pass through Lidget Hill and Century Road, to finally head to Victoria Road again by 1:00PM. The historical carnival dates back to 1898.
