A day of free art workshops is to be held at the St. Helens Central Library, on 30th May, Saturday. People are invited to join the artist running the free sessions, Jeni McConnel, which is part of Cultural Hub, a quality project for arts in libraries and join the Heart of Glass, Your Name Here project. The latter offers people the chance to nominate a person’s name for a St. Helens park.
The day will also have in the morning, family-friendly sessions. Children should be brought in between 10:00am and 12:30pm. Adults are encouraged to take part in the afternoon session between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Councillor at St. Helen’s Council, Andy Bowen, the cabinet member for health and well-being, said the distinctive project Your Name Here, is a wonderful way to get people engaged in arts. The councillor added that a great opportunity to visit the ‘central Library, participate in fun art activity and to talk about naming the park, are offered by these free workshops.
