A free event is being organised at the Sheringham Oddfellows Hall, in Sheringham, North Norfolk, which is an art exhibition giving artists and musicians an opportunity to showcase their works. The exhibition will feature paintings, prints, as well as photography and sculpture, accompanied with music by Paul Thompson, a folk musician and Benjie Smith, a singer songwriter. The event will be held on 21st December, Sunday, from 5PM to 8PM.
It is being organised by West Runton-born James Long, who returned as an IT consultant to North Norfolk, and turned into an artist. He is inspired by the “hidden parts” of the county and his surroundings, including Sheringham Park folly, Baconsthorpe Castle and others. James Long decided to celebrate the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, by organising a free event and give local artists the chance to display their work and get together, on the Sunday which is also the longest night of the year.
