December 8th, 2017 by Sandy

The Broadwalk Centre, Edware, is hosting festive vents ahead of Christmas, from 9th December. A giant polar bear walking about the shopping centre in North London is one of the treats on Saturday. The walkabout polar bear will be available to pose for photo opportunities. There’s also face-painting for youngsters. There will be a workshop for children, run by elves, on 16th December. It includes using recycled materials to make a Santa’s grotto, an igloo, a snowman and designing candy canes. Santa will be at the Broadwalk Centre from 12th December until Christmas Eve.

The manager of the shopping centre, Angela Brooks, said she is happy to host all through the Christmas period, a variety of free events and is looking forward to the Santa set-building workshop. She added that they hosted throughout 2017 a variety of eco-friendly events that aims at raising awareness of recycling household goods and reducing the carbon footprint of Edgware. All the events at the centre run each day from 12pn to 4pm.
