A star-gazing event is due at the Eycott Hill Nature Reserve next week. The free event being organised by Border Astronomical Society and Cumbria Wildlife Trust, is on 26th January (Thursday), offering a great opportunity to learn about astronomy. Experience the 2-hour long event at the nature reserve in the evening, starting at 7:00pm, with a short introduction before the visit, at the Sportsman’s Inn.
The Eycott Hill Nature Reserve is situated between Keswick and Penrith. This is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for geology and botany of the wetlands and measuring 216 hectares, is near Mungrisdale village. Cumbria Wildlife Trust also offers guided walks here during the day, in the winter months, to introduce you to the exceptionally rich wildlife habitat.
