New Year is coming closer and so are the celebrations. Keeping this in mind, Diageo will sponsor free travel for revellers enjoying New Year’s Eve.
People can avail free travel between 23:45 (31 December) and 04:30 (1 January) on the buses, Tramlink, Tube, DLR and trains on London Overground. At the EDF Energy London Eye, there will be Mayor of London’s New Year’s fireworks display. And a huge crowd is expected to gather at the spot. Hence, those planning to take a taxi back home are requested to take a pre-booked minicab or a black cab. They can also download the free Cabwise app using which a licensed black cab or minicab can be booked from the nearest location. The app switches to Cabwise text messaging service whenever there is no signal.
The patrol of MPS Safer Transport Command will make sure that party goers return home safely. DLR, Tramlink and Tube services will be available throughout the night on New Year’s Eve. Though night buses will be available throughout the night few Tube stations will be completely closed owing to safety and crowd control precautionary measures. Party goers need to check for timings when few roads will be closed for traffic on 31 December and 1 January.
So, party carefully and enjoy free travel with Diageo, world’s major producer of wine and beer and the world’s largest producer of spirits.
