Among the wonderful events organized for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations are the horse racing and music in Carlisle. You can be a part of the Best of British Fun race day with free tickets. Horse racing day will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, June 4 at Carlisle Racecourse. To celebrate this event, hundreds of free tickets are made available. As part of the Carlisle Music City festival, live music will also be performed. To receive the free tickets, you should visit their website soon as they are offered on first-come first-served basis.
Racecourse is offering 500 adult tickets that are worth up to £15 each. Just four tickets are offered on a booking. Bookings are done only through their website. Carlisle Racecourse’s general manager, Richard Clements hopes that the free tickets will attract a number of horse racing lovers. Queen herself is a huge racing fan, he added.
Along with the local bands at the live music, rooftop performance by tribute act Beatlemania will also be performed. Carlisle Music City will be an attraction for the day. First race will be at 2.10pm and the last one will be at 5.40pm. Entry for children under 16 is made free. Gates will be opened at noon.
