Droitwich Spa Fencing-Club offers try-out sessions

Everyone is welcome to the free taster sessions offered by Droitwich Spa Fencing-Club. New beginners’ sessions are being held every Tuesday for adult beginners and also older pupils. Those who like to give the sport a go can come on Tuesday, to the Dodderhil School, at 8:00pm. Secretary of Droitwich Spa Fencing-Club, Glyn Thomas, said the sessions help those wanting to get fitter and for trying out a totally different sport. He added that their members are a mixture of all ages, male and female, fencers from teenagers to over 70.

Anyone is welcome from the area, even those who want to take it up once again. The club holds from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, the juniors session and from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, the seniors session, every Tuesday. Those who want, can join later the fencing course, which runs for 4 weeks. It prepares participants for ‘Grade 1″ award, taught by BFA qualified coaches (costing £40) and includes loan of the fencing kit.
