A ground-breaking new festival in Glasgow is part of the National Action Plan on Human Rights of Scotland, called the Declaration. The arts festival is to be held from 3rd to 6th March, at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA), Glasgow. This unique partnership between the University of Strathclyde, the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland, the Mental Health Foundation and NHS Health Scotland, has organised the free event. It will see leading musicians, writers, film-makers and visual artists appear along with people working in health and social care sectors, with human rights campaigners, to discuss the rights to health and human rights (in Scotland).
The free festival will feature thirty events. Each event is inspired by one of the 30 articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. Declaration will feature a mix of performances, film screenings, provocations, debates and workshops.
