A new youth dart project event is being organised, on 16th March, in the Rattray Community Connect building, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, at Blairgowrie. Organised by the Blairgowrie and District Darts-Youth-Academy, the opening session intends to introduce youngsters of the area to a sport with an increasing popularity. Anyone aged between 5 and 18 are welcome to join the free session organised for the first time,
Leading the Blairgowrie and District Darts-Youth-Academy (BDDYA) meet is Daryl Stewart with a volunteer team. He is a resident of Blairgowre and coordinates the Blairgowrie and District Darts League’s social media activity. The first meet is regarded as a ‘taster session’ and once there is enough interest, regular meets will follow. The same venue will host a second meeting on 23rd March (at the same times). Following the 2 taster sessions here, a registration fee for £10 (one -off free) and a £3 per week per person fee, will be charged. But a 4-week block of sessions is available for £10.
A number of individuals, local businesses and groups are supporting the BDDYA. Parents are also welcome and can ask any questions at the free taster sessions. For more details see BDDYA’s Facebook page, or send an email to- blairgowrieyouthdarts@outlook.com.
