The County-Antrim Indoor Bowls-Club is running a new campaign for indoor bowls and its officials will open the doors to pull in more new members. The ‘Open Week’ programme will begin soon, on 25th August (Monday) at Parkgate, where their grand complex is, and it’s free for those who like to try their hand at this sport. The stadium is being refurbished presently. The sessions will be running all week from Monday to Friday. The free sessions will also be offered between 7 & 9PM on Monday and Thursday nights. Manager of County Antrim, Rod Coleman, said that the open days have been a great success as they have opened doors to anyone, to members, non-members, even to those who have never thrown a bowl. He said they have great plans for the new season and look to expand their interest in short-mat game.
