Argyll and the Western Isles Construction workers to receive free lifesaving advice

February 1st, 2012 by Sandy

In a new initiative, free advice is being offered to Construction workers across Argyll and the Western Isles. In a free event on February 14 Tuesday, they will be offered with lifesaving advices. The event is to be conducted at Oban High School. These advices will help construction workers to escape from injury and death while working in the construction sites. Construction industry is very dangerous and initiatives like this will help workers become aware of the potential dangers.

Practical advices will be offered to the workers by leading members in this sector of work and Health and Safety Executive inspectors. Part of the Working Well Together campaign, this free event will be for half day. Workers at contracting companies, medium sized companies and the self-employed construction workers can benefit from this free event. It will help workers get advice on activities like transport, stone cutting and dust issues, mechanical handling and welfare and tidy site practice and using equipment. Life saving advices and tips will be provided to workers during this free event. Booking for the event are made on a first come, first serve basis. Since the seats are limited, you should act fast.
