Clevedon offers Free Tennis Usage for All

June 29th, 2014 by Sandy

Clevedon’s Tennis Courts facing the seafront are up for grabs this entire summer on account of free tennis usage for all. The Clevedon Town Council has now leased the tennis courts from the North Somerset Council Authority. Fencing conditions around the tennis courts have been renewed for all users in order to play under improved facilities. Orders have also been placed for some older equipment to be replaced with new nets and posts.

Throughout summer, these tennis courts at Clevedon will remain unlocked, running into early autumn. The start of this free tennis project has been made with such great timing; the Wimbledon is currently on in London. This free tennis project has successfully been implemented, thanks to the year long efforts of a group of Clevedon Town councillors, namely, Ann Shopland, Linda Little, Jane Geldart, Graham Watkins and Nick Pennycott.
