The Chester Youth Symphony Orchestra has plans to grow the orchestra year by year. So, the orchestra CYSO welcomes applications at any time of the year to interested players. Those interested are invited to attend a free taster rehearsal. The rehearsals are on Friday evenings in term time, held at the Queen’s School, City Walls Road, Chester, in Cheshire. The weekly rehearsals are held from 6:45 to 9:00pm. Those applying should be preferably 21 years or under and around Grade 5 level, but can be from any place. CYSO made their debut public performance about a year after they were formed, on 25th November, plying to a full house at St. Mary’s Creative Space, conducted by John Modelski. One of the main organisers of the Chester Music Society, Lila Haslett, a committee member involved, said as CYSO is up and running any budding musician is encouraged to get involved in this wonderful initiative.
