Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) to offer free information sessions

Business owners are offered with free information sessions on fire and safety by the Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS). Everyone responsible for ensuring fire safety will find the information very useful. As per the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (FSO), the owner of the business or the premises is held responsible for fire and safety. Fire Authority implements such orders as well as provides advice and guidance to the people. If a person fails to meet the fire safety requirements or responsibilities, they are prosecuted on specific charges. Since, many people are unaware of their responsibilities
to ensure fire safety such free sessions will be very helpful.

Head of Fire Protection for CFRS, Steve Cotton wants to businesses to comply with their responsibilities and stop fire mishaps. The free sessions by the CFRS will help businesses to realise the common risks in the premises and better fire safety. Fire safety responsible persons will understand that the measures and precautions are simple and inexpensive.
They should ensure protection to the employees, firm and the property from fire.

Four hour long seminar is offered for free of cost. This is not a one-time session but is held every month, at different areas in the county. Their advices and guidelines can make your business and properties free from fire risks. Fire Risk Assessment is process that helps you realise the fire risks at you premises.
