January 13th, 2018 by Sandy

Celtic Connections, the big music festival in winter, largest of its kind in the country, is less than a week away, to be hosted in Glasgow. The 18-day festival is on its 25th edition this year. The event will run from 18 January (Thursday) to 4 February (Sunday), and celebrates Celtic music with its connections across the world. The eclectic line-up of musicians have been announced and includes more new names this year. It will include a line-up of one-off musical collaborations, along with workshops, talks, art exhibitions, ceilidhs, film screenings, late night sessions and free events.

The festival is programmed by Donald Shaw, Artistic Director, and features over 300 events spread over multiple genres of music and venues. The 25th anniversary festival is seeing tickets selling faster than ever before, so audiences are urged to get tickets as soon as possible.
