The Festival of Ideas will be hosting in Cambridge, over 200 events that range from art and museum exhibitions to theatre and music events, plus lectures, debates and discussions. Most of the events at the Festival, running from 17th to 30th October, are free, but some need to be booked.
The Festival of Ideas, now in its 9th year, is taking place around Cambridge in university buildings and lecture theatres. Also being hosted is a series of panel discussions that includes one on global economic uncertainty. The rise of populism and anti-establishment thinking, is the subject of another panel discussion.
The festival will also host other panel discussions such as, Putin’s Russia: dangerous or misunderstood, climate change: past, present and future, Human Trafficking: international partnerships, Europe: beyond the referendum, Universities and free speech, Is Shakespeare still relevant today? and others.
The Festival hosted over the two weeks, is one of the most dynamic and exciting occasions in the Cambridge cultural calendar.
