Bracknell town will be hosting over 6 weeks a free Dino Fever event every Saturday, from 25th July to 29th August, at the Bracknell town centre. The free dinosaur themed event will see stegosaurus and raptors take over the town centre, as part of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) organised events during the school summer holidays. There will be different activities every week which includes shows, street theatre sessions, craft workshops, balloon modelling, face painting and dinosaur walkabouts. On 22nd August, Saturday, there will be the first dinosaur Reggie the Raptor, making its way across the town. Also a dome outside Princess Square will be showing a 360-degree dinosaur experience. Events on Saturday will run from 11:00am to 4:00pm and depending on weather, dinosaurs will appear throughout the day. Marketing executive of BRP, Gemma Tizzard, said they wanted to bring this Dino Fever and are really excited to have a full summer programme to entertain the whole family.
Along with the free events, BRP is also organising a competition- ‘Design a Dinosaur’, for children who are aged 4 and over. They are being asked to design a dinosaur by their own imagination and send it to BRP. Kids get a chance to win a Bentalls gift card for £100 and a dinosaur goody bag. They also get to exhibit their work at the town centre. A2 size flat entries and 3D entries of up to 80cm height are accepted. Get entry-forms at the poster stands on Princess Square.
