Brackley to host free activity sessions

January 12th, 2015 by Sandy

The South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) is organising a new programme for young people, a host of activity sessions, which are free, starting next week in Brackley. SNC’s Youth Activators will lead the programme, as they are the ones busy delivering sports activity sessions for young people who are between 14 and 19 years of age, across the whole district.

The schedule for free activity sessions are as follows-

Football sessions start on 14 January (Wednesday) and finish on 11 February (Wednesday), at the Brackley Town Football Club, to be held from 4:30 PM to 6:30PM, suitable for 14 to 16 year-olds.

Dodgeball sessions start on 16 January (Friday) and finish on 13 February (Friday), at the Brackley Leisure Centre, to be held from 7:30 PM to 8:30PM, suitable for 14 to 16 year-olds.

Street Dance sessions for girls only, start on 16 January (Friday) and finish on 13 February (Friday) at the Brackley Leisure Centre, to be held from 7:30 PM to 8:30PM, suitable for 14 to 16 year-olds.

The Councillor holding the portfolio for community engagement and well-being, Rosie Herring, said this is a great opportunity for young people to learn new skills and have fun in sport, at the beginning of the new year. Since these are free sessions, no need to book… you just turn up. For more details contact Colin Hull by phone-01327 322337, or email to- colin.hull@southnorthants.gov.uk.
