Biggest free family music festival, Godiva Festival, at Coventry soon

The free music festival due in Coventry in July is believed to be UK’s biggest free family music festival. The Coventry Godiva Festival has a great line up this year, running from 3rd July to 5th July and will be held in the War memorial Park in southern Coventry. The cabinet member looking after events, Councillor Abdul Khan, said the excitement is quickly building up for the 2015 festival, with the weather picking up too. He was pleased to see more big names added to the bill and hopeful the people form across the Midlands and UK would come and enjoy the festival.

Many names have been added up to this year’s festival. Urban acts like, Big Narstie and Lady Leshur, bands like Dreadzone and The Skints for reggae/ska music have been added in Rhythm Tent, where JME has the headlining act. Other acts are Orange Street, Double S and Afrojosh. Bands announced for the weekend include The Beat, The Wombats, Embrace, Slaves, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Don Broco and many more. The festival will also have a ceilidh dance, as a first, a silent disco, comedy acts, vintage markets, family field entertainment, food stalls and licensed bars, all forming part of the free music festival.
