The annual kite flying event will be set up for 19th June, Sunday, to be held from 11am to 4pm, at Beacon Country Park, West Lancashire. The weekend event is great fun and this year the colourful display will be by the Northern Kite Group. This is a great time to visit the parks and countryside of West Lancashire. A fun day will be hosted on 12th June, Sunday, at Richmond Park in Burscough from midday and 5pm. There will be activities for all in the family and supported by Friends of Richmond Park. Activities include a fun dog show, bouncy castle, a funfair, even taster sessions for bowling and tennis, with also a 5-a-side football competition. There will be singers, bands, dancers amd refreshment stalls. West Lancs Council Councillor, Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for leisure said these fantastic events are not to be missed and is great fun for all the family.
