With Bible Society accepting to provide Bibles, all athletes going to the London 2012 Olympic Games will be provided free copies.
A non-profit organization, the Bible Society that is devoted to ensuring that the Bible is spread across the world will supply free Bibles as welcome gifts to all athletes who would be in a position to avail of them by just dropping in at the Olympic Village Religious Services Centre.
There are over three thousand copies that are available of the Bible, in a dedicatory English-language version. Another 1,000 Bibles will also be published in a variety of other languages aided by many Bible Societies across the nation.
The CEO of More Than Gold informed the Evangelic Alliance that during many Olympics that had gone by, he had found that athletes were really thankful for being offered the Bible free. He stated that the Bible Society is to be praised for their backing in making available such a great gift.
The English Bibles that were being offered would be The Sports Good News Bible version and The Sports Good News Gospel of Luke version. Both these versions consist of commissioned articles particularly meant to assist sports persons to get a better knowledge between sports and religion.
Head of the Advocacy at Bible Society, Matthew van Duyvenbode, elucidated in a statement that the Bible provides a depth of solace, motivation and daring and these were points that bode well with sports person across the world. Availing of the chance to provide text in some form that sports persons can access only went to show that the Bible was the core of all factors of life.
Since it was lately shown that some of the athletes exhibited dubious activities during the Games, the Bibles could come in handy to such people during the current Olympic Games.

She mentioned that she had seen people having sex in the grass amongst the buildings, that people were becoming filthy minded. After the party they just donned their sports coats and by 7 a.m. in the morning were at the television show ‘Today’ totally drunk.
The Bible Society expects that there would be a great requirement for the Bibles at the London 2012 Olympics and staff of the Society that interested people could join in a take part in passing on the message of God to others.
