The Tuck Fest is now an annual event that will be taking place this time at the outskirts of Portstewart at the NW200 Paddock on 21st August, Sunday. The event that took everyone by surprise last year saw well over 100 trucks tun up and this year too the number has already risen to 300. The organsiers are being swamped with participants.
The Event Manager of the fest, Chris Arthur, said they are enjoying great support from the finest Trucks and Commercials of the country, which has also generated interest from new sponsors. He was also pleased with the support and co-operation from the Causeway Coast and Glen Council, along with the local businesses.
The line-up for the event includes entertainment, headlined by Ritchie Remo and followed by live entertainment by Brian Mooreland, Sara Cockett, Nial Mac, Darren Keiron and others. A flare will be fired to announce the start of the trucks from the paddock. The event will finish with the lap of the NW 200 circuit being completed by all trucks. The Causeway Coast Truck Fest offers free entry, although with the RNLI. However charity donations will be sought and the Portrush Lifeboat will be present.
