Ainsdale village green to host free family event

Ainsdale village green will be hosting on 11^th September, what is called a ‘picnic on the green’. The festival on the green, set in Ainsdale (Sefton, Merseyside), will feature live music and other old fashioned events. Families can enjoy fun events like sack race, tug-of-war, 3-legged race and egg-and-spoon race. The free event is set to take place during the Southport Air Show. The village green will provide visitors and families a great view of the planes flying overhead, as it si located between Southport beach and RAF Woodale. The festival is open to all, with neither entry fee nor fences, where anyone can sit and watch music on stage, remarked a spokesman.
