Free tickets to events offered by Royal Opera House
The Royal Opera House is opening its new season with myth as its theme. This year’s Ignite (Deolitte Ignite 2014) will bring in street art, put on yoga demo, offer rehearsal spaces and many different ways to sample ballet and art. It will offer free and family ways, through dance and art, to explore the building. The opening weekend from 5th to 7th September, is full of events, so book your free tickets.
The building will have lots to offer and experience. Plegm, the street artist, will demonstrate on the ground floor corridor. The Grand-Staircase will feature photography by Mat Collishaw. The Crush Room will feature video art by Bill Violet. You can see Royal Ballet artist Calvin Richardson perform. Watch a film on Anna Pavlova. Children will enjoy the Amphitheatre Bar where there will be mask-making and stories. There are many other programmes to enjoy over the days. Free Open Gym and CrossFit taster sessions being held at Portsmouth city
Portsmouth city is holding free Open Gym and CrossFit taster sessions. The free taster sessions are being organized and held by the fitness company, Britannia CrossFit, located in the Fitzherbert Road of Portsmouth city. You will be learning as to what CrossFit is all about while also trying out certain activities as well. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the trainers who are conducting the sessions and also simultaneously check out various facilities offered by Britannia CrossFit.
You will also get introduced to the typical crossfit workouts. Apart from providing the latest state-of-the-art facilities at the gym, fully qualified staff will be assisting you with the workout sessions, individually and in groups. The free taster sessions are currently being held on all days, till Friday, the 5th of September, 2014. Free tickets for Midlothian fun day event
The Midlothian festival is a council-run event and free tickets are available for the Midfest Family Fun Day of this year. Find here local bands, food stalls, children’s entertainers, even arts & crafts and also a funfair. The Midfest Family Fun Day will be held at Dalkeith Country Park, from 10.30AM to 6.30PM, on 7 September, Sunday. Get free tickets from any Midlothian leisure centre or library, or on the website of Eventbrite.
The Midlothian arts festival, an all-day music event begins on 6 September and features events over the week, across Midlothian. Councillor Bob Constable was happy for getting funding from Homecoming Scotland for the fun day event. It would be a great day for all people of all age-groups and the tickets are going fast, added the cabinet member for arts and creativity.
