Brownstown Park in Portadown town holds free sporting fun day

August 24th, 2014 by Sandy

Brownstown Park’s 3G pitch, located in the Portadown town of the Craigavon borough council, is holding a free sporting fun day on Thursday, the 28th of August, 2014 between 1 pm and 4 pm. This is a free event for everyone of all ages or abilities, with access to the local outdoor spaces for recreation as well as playing sports. This is the ethos that is being followed by FIT (Fields in Trust), a national charity in the UK that safeguards recreational spaces. Brownstown Park’s 3G pitch is one among these recreational spaces. You can just drop in and get in touch with the organizers for your participation details.

All participants will be given a free entry during the sporting fun day for playing games such as tag rugby, badminton, American football, volleyball and soccer, among others. All are welcome for this ‘field day’ campaign, during which you can simply convert this event itself into your free taster sessions for the sport you love. Qualified coaches, who are conducting this sporting fun day, will help you in getting connected with the local sports clubs for furthering your involvement, while your entire family also is kept active!
